Nestled on Albert Road in the heart of Southsea, our bar is a friendly neighbourhood hangout spot for everyone to enjoy.

During the day, grab a coffee and feel free to get some work done – we've got super-fast Wi-Fi for all you remote workers.

When the sun goes down, get ready for good drinks, good music, and all-around good vibes

Our mission is to redefine what a community neighbourhood bar means. Southsea Spirit is all about real, face-to-face interactions in this age of online connections.

We're not just a bar but a place where locals come together, and acquaintances become friends. We truly believe a community bar is a crucial part of the neighbourhood.

Our secret sauce at Southsea Spirit is the care and craftsmanship we put into everything. We're not into fancy frills or elaborate concoctions. With our cocktails, we keep it simple and honest with our ingredients. If you're into wine, you'll dig our selection. Beer lovers, Joe from Two-Thirds Beer has your back - having carefully curated our menu, he sure knows his stuff!

We've poured our hearts and souls into creating a spot that we believe reflects our community. So, swing by, have a drink or two, and show us your Southsea Spirit.

  • We run table service at Southsea Spirit. With that in mind, please always be patient and kind. We don't add service charges, so tipping is at your discretion.

  • We're a small place with 23 seats across two rooms. Groups of 4+ can get in touch to book, and we'll do what we can to accommodate. Smaller groups can walk in, first come, first serve.

  • You do you -wear whatever makes you feel good and comfortable.

  • YEP! We can accommodate 40 people across our two rooms with seating and standing. If you have a party or celebration, we'd love to host you! Email us - hello@southseaspirit.co.uk. Please drop us a DM on socials or pop by for a chat. We'll work with you to make things super special.

    NOTE: We don't have a kitchen at Southsea Spirit, but we have a heap of local businesses we recommend and work with to bring delicious food to you.
